After a two-year remodel, the grand house with Palladian windows and a mansard roof at 2312 Washington Street is back on the market. It has a new look, new amenities, and a new $10.95 asking price. A few things make this home stand out in a neighborhood where luxury is no stranger. While not minimalist, the project is decidedly contemporary. (It was created by Ravi Anand, an architect known for high-end development projects, such as the one we featured at 101 Maple Street.) Another notable attribute is a sweet guesthouse out back—a rather uncommon feature anywhere in SF, where even the largest homes can have tight lots.

Rebecca Hoffman of Hill & Co. Real Estate is the co-listing agent (along with Joan Gordon). She describes the four-level home as “luscious.” Reading the list of features, it’s easy to see why.
By the numbers: The house 5,600 square feet (six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half-baths). Between the luxe kitchen and the entertaining spaces (including a wet bar that’s like a mini kitchen) there are five ovens. There are three fireplaces, one outdoors. You’ll find three decks, two on the upper levels. An elevator and a glass-lined stair connect the spaces. And, of course, the aforementioned guest house that sits in the middle of the backyard and contains a bedroom and full bath.
Because of those upper decks, the guesthouse has a green roof. That way, when the new owners look over their property, the satellite building won’t read as a rooftop.
In all of this grandeur, the nitty gritty of family life hasn’t been neglected. There’s a mudroom and what Hoffman describes as “the best laundry room in San Francisco.”
