It took just three weeks for this house be snatched off the market

The mansion at 2312 Washington Street took two years to remodel, but less than three weeks to sell. The $10.95 million asking price was apparently little obstacle to interest in the six-bedroom, five-bath, 5,600-square-foot house, which dates to 1917.

No word on who the buyer is, but Rebecca Hoffman of Hill & Company Real Estate confirms that it went for the asking price. It previously sold for $4.8 million in 2014, but that was prior to the recent remodel by architect Ravi Anand.

The remodeled house has three decks, an outdoor fireplace, a glass-lined stairwell, an elevator to all three floors, a backyard guesthouse (the roof painted green so as not to interrupt the top-floor views), and (apparently) an additional $6 million in value. On the home’s website you can do a Google Street View-style interactive tour of the result.

The average Pacific Heights house sells for $1,164 per square foot, but at $1,946 per square foot, this fetched far more than that.
