Have you ever noticed that in some areas of your life you’re able to progress and create real results, whereas in other areas progress feels a lot more challenging?
What’s the difference?
Primarily, the difference is consistent effort.
We’re all capable of achieving so much more than we realize. But the fulfillment of your dreams requires consistent effort through time. With consistent effort, you can produce miraculous results and transformation.
Take my latest real estate development project for example (see before and after photos below). If you’ve been reading my periodic investor updates, you’ve seen photos of this home in various stages of development. The home:
– was doubled in size from just over 1,000 sqft. to almost 2,300 sqft.
– was built in less than 5 months
– is essentially a new home with all new framing, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinklers, kitchens, baths, flooring, roofing, exterior, landscaping, etc.
– won the “Best of Tour” award from the San Mateo County Association of Realtors
– went into contract in less than a week

The only way this could be accomplished was with consistent, daily effort by a talented team of people. This doesn’t mean the project was without problems or delays, it just means that we kept putting one foot in front of the other everyday until we crossed the finish line.
Try this for the next 30 days: take something you’ve tried to create in your life without any apparent success. It could be related to health, finances, relationships, an experience- anything that will make a meaningful difference in your life by achieving it. For the next 30 days, just 30 days, put some meaningful, daily effort into creating it. Even 5-10 minutes a day in the beginning is alright. At the end of the 30 days, let me know how it went- I think you’ll be surprised at the result.
